Cybernetic Daydreams
ITP Thesis Project, May 2024
Tools: Unreal Engine 5.4, Meta Quest 2
A VR experience exploring the world of my creative fiction project Cybernetic Daydreams. Take a campus tour of the fictional university from one of the main characters, Alice. At each floating, pink orb, she tells you a tidbit about the space and what it means to her.
This complemented a 5 minute immersive theater experience where you got to interact with Alice as she discovers how having a cybernetic chip implanted in her brain will affect her life.

Underwater Playground
Abstract Bedroom Project, February 2023
For Synthetic Architecture Class at ITP
Tools: Unreal 5.3
Using a limited number of pre-selected assets and materials, create an abstract "bedroom" scene.
I have an interest in biophilic experiences and at the time of working on this project, I was creating work exploring themes of ocean and nature restoration. Here, I created a bedroom for corals - a structure they could attach to and grow on. It is in the shape of an octopus, a creature I have been interested in due to their intelligence. When explored in VR, this is a playground for the viewer, who can swim around and climb all over the structure.

The octopus/coral regrowth structure in its underground water cave.

In-process screenshot from UE5 of the octopus structure.

Tipping Hell
UX Distopia in VR, October 2023
For Hedonomic VR Class at ITP
Tools: Unity 2021, Meta Quest 2
As tipping systems like Square become more ubiquitous, and stores across the US implement more tipping screens, I came across a cafe asking for a 40% tip on one button after I had ordered a simple black coffee (it already was one of the most expensive black coffees I have ever purchased). This frustration inspired this project where there is no escape from the tipping and you are asked to tip on your tip.
